We want to bring together the local population in this rural area and give space to co-create and exchange culturally.

ALDEIAS À VISTA (engl. Villages at Sight) is a project co-created with the community in collaboration with the Parish Councils, to hold rotating monthly cultural events between the villages of Luzianes, Sabóia and Santa Clara-a-Velha, within the municipality of Odemira. These events are spaces for sharing knowledge and affection, where new opportunities and more resilient proximity networks are generated, which reinforce the identity of this territory. We foster relationships of trust that generate new opportunities, justifying the regularity of these mini-festivals.

At ALDEIAS À VISTA the potential of the region is recognised, its products, food, crafts, design, antiques and services. On this day we value heritage and traditions, where local cuisine, games and workshops meet in moments of celebration and artistic expression.

The project started in 2022 with 9 monthly events from April till December. It was supported by the Odemira City Council, the Alentejo Regional Directorate of Culture and the three parish councils that host it.
